Moving in the world
Audrey is keeping busy!!
As reported, the word "dog" is joined by "Daddy" and very occasionally "mamamamamamma"...still not sold.
Anyway, Audrey has taken to pushing things around, especially the kitchen stool. She also is standing unaided and took her very first steps TODAY! She's got a long way to go before she's actually walking, but she's getting there, almost too fast!
I've decided to post some photos of her "multi-tasking" (count them, FIVE things she's holding!)...and LOOK at her hair, is it actually growing??
WE went to the doctor last week and found Audrey's first ear infection, probably won't be the last! She's pretty good at taking the medicine, no Mary Poppins tricks involved! We've also got her on decongestant so maybe she will finally lose that perma-cold!
We've started taking walks pretty often after Mommy gets home from work. Audrey seems to really enjoy them as long as the wind is whipping away. We've got a lot of dogs in our neighborhood to look at. That, and puddles.
In fact, we apparently wear her out so much on these walks that she just falls flat asleep (see photo). Audrey has also become pretty mischevious! She likes to find out what Dad doesn't want her to get and go for it. She really enjoys the fire-proof safe box and the DVDs or game shelves. She loves to be in the kitchen and she really doesn't like being without a parent. She really likes watching Backyardigans on a lap instead of on her own...
Audrey is progressing right along to her first birthday. We're planning a party for Saturday the 31st, with a nice big chocolate cake to make a big mess, but possibly a good picture. Mom will like the memory and perhaps begin a new tradition. We like those.
It is sad to think it's been less than a year and I can't remember what being pregnant was like! Audrey won't be getting a sibling too soon, though!
But anyway, check out the Audrey photos and the video to follow (she is eating peas in the one part, they are elusive!!) Thanks for keeping up with Audrey!
